2023 will be a busy year for team ReliaStream. We are always proud of the servers we build and those servers are rock solid for many years. Many of our servers remain active beyond our 6, 7, and 10+ year limits but we still replace them with brand new servers. We do not wait for some catastrophic event to occur and then say "oh we should of did this or that". With that said we will replace several of our current servers with our brand new line of MAX based servers in 2023. 

What to expect? 

Our team will always try to make this transition as easy as possible for our members. If you are using your secure (named url) tune in link then you will not notice any changes. Once we switch the secure named url from the old server to the new server it will simply switch to the new server without you having to do anything. 

If you are still using the IP:PORT as your tune in link you will be required to change the IP address. Your port number will remain the same. If you are using the IP in your encoder settings you will need to change that to the new IP address. In this day and age no one should be using IP:PORT for tune in links. They are not secure and all of the major web browser companies do not accept non-secure links. It's been like that for years now. Everyone should be using their secure link. 

We will transfer all of your media files, settings, playlists, ect to the new server (migration). Your username, passwords, and port number will be the same. Your named secure link will be the same. The only difference will be the IP address.

Once we switch the secure url to the new server it will be up to your ISP (internet service provider) as to how fast this switch will occur. In most cases it's 24 hours or less. Some ISP's can take a bit longer and we do not control that process.     

Our goal is to upgrade our entire network during the 2023-2024 years. We want to deliver the best results, the best network, the best bandwidth, and the best dedicated servers to our members. Servers that will last another 6-10 years.. That's how we do things at ReliaStream.
